Currently stuck in the corner of next staying well clear of the hoards of bargain hunters getting taken on with all the sh1t these shops bring in to turn a fast buck!

The only thing saving my sanity is this forum.  ::)

Just had to drive past the industrial estate with Next, PC World etc to go to the tip. It looked like a nightmare, no way I would be going anywhere near that place.

Great times Richard.  Have you seen he 3D scans that can be done?  We only found out about them soon after the daughter was born so didn't get it done.  That said some people do find them a little strange.

Nice one Richard :)

Look forward to the threads about .... how to clean vomit from the seats, how can I dry the car mats when it is raining, how can I clean the windows from smear marks :)

Congrats Richard. It's all fun from there on.

I remember shopping for that stuff. Watch out, those travel systems can be BLOODY expensive. The trick is trying to get the mrs to buy in to your VALUE arguments before getting to the shop. I FAILED miserably and still cringe at the fact I never used any of the 'system' features 2 kids later!!!!

It was sad this summer when I finally took the whole lot  £££££ down the local tip..... These things depreciate faster than a v8 4x4!

Looks to be about £700!!!  Set of wheels, pushchair attachment, travel cot attachment (saves buying an extra Moses Basket) and Type Zero baby seat plus ISOFIX base!  Let's hope the Sales keep going.  We don't need it just yet, but.......

PS:  My first car (a 1974 VW Type3 1500 'Fastback') was the same price!  That came with an engine (of sorts) and 5-seats too!  Mind you, it probably cost as much to run  :))

We went for the Bugaboo Chameleon plus maxi Cosi baby seat with adapters to use it on the Bugaboo.  Worked really well, the main benefit being not having to wake the baby up to put in car.  Our first was such a nightmare travelling that anything that helped us have a sleeping baby was a definite yes (relentless screaming / crying in a confined space does your head in after a while!).

[I'm writing this from our hotel room in Basel - en route to Swiss Alps - now wrestling to get our two boys to go to ****ing sleep - after long drive with v stressful relentless cocophony in car].  The joys ...

Is the chameleon easy to get on with? We looked at it initially but went with the stokke xplory because of its height and looks and mainly because it looked a lot more mobile than the chameleon. Also paired it up with a maxicosi. Worked a treat!
