Right the x6 came with the individual car audio system which in most cases is ok
. I'm planning to rip it out and replace it with the following:-
The first box of tricks you need is this:-
http://www.caraudioexpress.co.uk/mobrid ... tputs.html
This little puppy although not cheap intergrates with the BMW MOST system and lets you fit after market amps but stil lets you use the logic 7 eq in the idrive if you want to (however i'll just code the M1000 to how I want it)
3 amps I have gone for are
JL XD 600/1 to drive the JL w13 w6 in the boot
JL XD 600/6 to drive the following :-
focal 5.25 slim line components up front, Focal 4" slime line components in the rear, Focal 4" slimeline components in the rear quarters
Jl XD 200/2 to drive the 8" earthquake subs under the front seats
2 * JL bass control so I can adjust the mid and bass
The amps are very small so there fit nicely in the boot under the boot storage out of sight.
Planning to do this early Feb so ill get pics up once it gets started.

Where will it all finish? I take it once you get your cars fully modded you get bored and move on to the next one?

AM confused. BMW Individual is different (totally) to the Logic 7 version. How many speakers do you have as standard? L7 has 13 and Individual 16. Silver speaker rings give the game away if it's Individual (I think?)

The L7 or professional as BMW call it (one I have) has 16 speakers like the individual. Don't know if the speakers are the same size and use the same housings ...

The Individual speakers include the double cone variety

If the images on RealOEM are anything to go by, all the different types fit exactly the same holes, and are just dual cone with more oomph. The front doors have an extra crossover unit behind the door card.

'Just'?!? 'Just'?!?
This is a BMW my man; they'll bang harder, and they cost a grand more, so must be worth having!!
