Hi, I bought this last week off fleabay £39 including free delivery. It's plug and play and I connected it through the games port socket. Works a treat with dozens of channels and it has a USB adapter (included) that you can plug your pendrive into and watch movies, also has a SD card slot. I had to modify one end of the RCA cables (supplied) to a stereo mini jack to fit the games port but that was it and you're good to go.

Interesting. Where did you mount the aerial and is it decent on the move?

that does look interesting.  Got any photos of where and how you installed this?

Which is the games port socket?? I have a non dsp sat nav system.

Hi, the aerial is a mag mount and has a generous length of cable so it can stick on the roof of the car or any metal surface. Other users have purchased the booster aerial (see link)

which seems to improve the picture quality on the move. I am unable to do this as the screen blanks out once I select drive so have only used it parked but I can honestly say the picture quality is superb and better than the old analogue system that was fitted as standard. The games port is located above the rear cupholders in the center console and has a handy power socket too (well mine does E53 3.0 diesel sport). I'll try and get some photos up later. Oh I have the BMW sat/nav with the 16.9 screen but if you have headrest monitors you should be able to connect into those.

This might sound daft, but worth a shot.....

Cold you fit one of these and then plug a USB stick filled with music files into it and play the music thru the stereo?

It doesn't sound daft at all this thing plays music, photos and movie files directly from the USB port or the SD slot. I just received a small portable 9"LCD screen from my dad that can be powered from a cigarette lighter and it has RCA inputs so I can now take the freeview box from vehicle to vehicle... result!

I might have to invest in one of these to have a play with.  I wonder if there is a way to hook this up in the boot and have it feeding the dashboard/headrest screens? Guys, thoughts?

Here's how I connected my freeview box. It plugs into the AV / IN socket and you select AV on your screen. Sorry about the photo quality I used my phone.

I got this off my dad, there are quite a few of these being discarded as they can no longer receive TV channels since the switchover but they can be linked to an external freeview box and I can now use this in my other car using the cigarette lighter adapter and the RCA Phono cables.
