Is it possible to swap out the Spots for white LED units?

Are you referring to the front foglights?
If so, then I've gone to a hid kit but you could potentially replace the bulbs with led versions if available.

High Intensity Discharge - aka - Xenon's. They're arc lights. You can change your conventional filament lamps to HID type with a fairly straightforward mod adding the necessary high voltage control system and modifying the lamp unit to take the HID bulbs.
There are very few LEDs with the necessary output to match the requirements of a main beam lamp. BMW now offer them as an option on the LCI X6, but at a high cost. Again they need the control gear installed as well as (for the X6) different lamp units.

If so motivated I'd just swap to xenon look non-led bulbs in desired hue (kalvin rating).
