Home insurance up for renewal.  Just shy of 700 quid if I just call up and renew straight.  However, if I go onto their website and ask for a quote, from them, for the self same cover, it's 300 quid less.  Excuse me whilst I go and scream.................

Had exactly the same with Admiral last year - except it was almost half the price via a price comparison website - arrrrrgggghhhhh. Like I want to waste time having to go through that malarkey... >:D

Although frustrating, while people accept the renewal without question it will continue.  And while those same people continue to pay up, then those of us prepaired to shop around each year will get discounted rates.
