I have been hankering after a change of car for a few weeks now. I have this urge once a year or so!!
I narrowed it down to an Audi A6 3.0 Quattro, the Lemans ones are fully loaded, I was looking to replicate a simular car to my E60 530i, but a turbo diesel this time, and a car thet I could get off the drive in winter. So the 3.0 TDI Quattro ticked all the boxes.
I registered on a VAG forum at lunchtime and have spent all afternoon reading up on the said model.
Well......I am now very and truly disapointed. The Audi's reliability is not what I expected.
I will not be buying an A6 in a rush.
The word WOEFULL springs to mind. The E53 sounds a much better bet than an Audi. My wife has an A4 Cab, 2007 1.8 T, thats been fine. Hence my interest in getting an Audi next time.
I would be interested to hear of anyone who has experience in running a 3.0TDI A6

Hi Horizon. I ran a 2010 plate of the car your after for 2.5 yrs as a fleet car. It went back with 131k on the clock. It never missed a beat. The best car I've had in a long time. As long as you have a FASH you won't have any problems. I hammered mine up and down the motorway. PM me if you need anymore info.

My old man has the A4 version of that engine

No probs

Forums are likely to show more problems than good!
