Hi there,
Im looking for a set of roof bars that can hold at least one snowboard and possibly a set of skis.
Most of the ones I have found online just seem to be cross bars that I will have to lash the board on with ratchet straps
I am after a rack that can be closed over the board and locked.
I have had such sets for other cars I have owned.
Does anyone know if such a thing exists for the X5 or will I just have to go for a set of normal cross bars?
By the way Im not after a roof box as I have no space to store it, but that would have been a good option if I did!
cheers for any help.
Dave

Thule come to mind first for this application, a good selection of options here http://www.thule.com/en-GB/GB/Products/Snowsports.aspx clearly you will need the cross bars (Square 762 or Aero 862) and relevant foot pack (757 or 775) as well but this looks the most secure set up.

I’ve seen some great snowboard racks in eBay last time. It can hold up to 6 pairs of boards. And it is quite small and not so big rack.
