Hi all - after much research I've eventually taken the plunge and bought a '59 plate E70 - 44k miles with a few extras.

Bought from Stratstones BMW as I wanted the BMW warranty for peace of mind.

Verrrry happy with it so far - and no it wasn't that clean when I collected it either  ::)

Thanks for all the likes and welcomes.

It's an SE with 20" y spoke alloys, media pack, dynamic pack, running boards, heated front seats, sun protection glass and xenons so not mega spec but it ticks most of the boxes I was looking for / could afford to stretch to.

I spent 6 hours valeting it last Saturday - clayed the paint, per wax cleaner, poorboys blackhole glaze, collinite 915 wax and then a sealer to protect the wax - all black plastics and tyres coated with chemical guys new look trim gel.  Interior vac'd and all leather treated with zymol leather cleaner and plastics with armour all matt finish cleaner - windows cleaned inside and out with auto glym window cleaner.

Satisfied with the result  8)

I'm thinking about putting in some uprated speakers as the stock ones are absolute guff!  Need to save the pennies first though.

Oh, and uprating the angel eye bulbs to LED for a whiter look - I know they won't be as good as LCI but I'm not loving the yellow look.

Just need to find a reliable and quality seller to buy from - eBay is a minefield of crap with the odd hidden gem!

Welcome buddy :ok:

Great looking car that looks like its about to get pampered beyond belief. Enjoy the ownership!

20s and wider arches certainly help with the look.
