Hi,
I've managed to pickup an immaculate set of lemans style wheels. They are replica's but they are the correct sizes 9.5x20 fronts and 10.5x20 rears.
The only query I have about them is they are all offset 45 instead of 45 on the front and 30 on the back. Would it be a good idea to fit spacers to the back and would this help with the offset being wrong, or would it make them worse?
Next thing is to get some tyres for them, any recommendations on what make to go for? Typically I get this set just after i've replaced the fronts on the standard 19's with new bridgestones so I think I will wait a bit before gettting tyres for the new wheels and getting them on the car.
Cheers

Re: New Wheels, spacers?
Running spacers is fine, but I would recommend going with the bolt on type (Eibach Type 7 I think they are), where you bolt the spacer to the hub and then bolt the wheel to the spacer. On my OE 168's I was running a 20mm spacer and that bought them out enough for my liking (basically gave an offset of et10).
If you want them to sit where the OE ones do then go with 20mm type 7 spacers and job done. If you want them to come out a little further then try something like 30mm one.
I know peeps have run 40mm ones too.
As for tyres, depends upon budget. Try Camskill for decent prices though.

Already posted the link on your kidney grille thread, but http://www.carparts-tuning.co.uk/index. ... ram=Bmw+x5
I've just ordered some 20mm H&R bolt on spacers so that I can fit my rear wheels. They seem to have a pretty good selection. Again, prices are lower over the weekend.
