Couple of questions!

Hello all. I am in need of some advise pls.

I was driving today and in my dash the words "air suspension inact", then my low tyre pressure light came on a couple of minutes later! When I stopped I checked all tyres, they looked fine and my X appears to be sitting fine. Now end lower than the other etc.

When I started her up to come home, no suspension warning was present but the tyre pressure indicator is still illuminated!

I would appreciate any advice on what is happening, or what to do? Is my tyre pressure gauge a simple fix ie putting more air in tyres? (What psi's do people run?)

Thanks in advance for any thoughts

Hi there.
You can reset the tyre pressure monitering system by pushing and holding the button with the same symbol on as your warning light, ( you must be stationary ) it will change colour on your dash. drive off and it will start to monitor each tyre via the abs system, it monitors how far each wheel turns/travels in comparison to the other 3 tyres, after 1/2 a mile or so it will/should go out.
A dodgy battery/voltage can cause this, how old is the battery? 6 years is the recomended age to replace, or sooner if they are not in daily use. I would get it on a trickle charge overnight, and see if it happens again.
It could be that as it would be unusual for 2 simultanius faults at the same time. Hope its not the alternator or the ignition swith either, as these can throw random faults too.
PS. Better check your tyre pressures as well and then re set the monitor .

Defo look at the battery......if it's approaching 6 years old then it needs changing.  It's a pain to get at as it's buried in the boot floor, but those faults are well known ones for giving tell that the battery may be on the way out.  It's also the cheapest option in terms of a repair....

Does the engine sound at all 'sluggish' when turning over?  Is the car being used on short journeys - it takes about 20-miles just to put the starting charge back into these beasts?

Tyre one is common.  Mine used to do it every 6 months or so even though the pressures were always fine.
