Plastic Rivets - Pt No 51717002953

Post by Sanj » Mon Nov 12, 2012 4:48 pm

Appeal to all forum members...

Would you have any of the above plastic rivets (that attach the wheel arches to the car) lying around, that you'd be willing to let me have?

I got some off eBay which turned out to be incorrect.

Gonna try to clear things up a little.

This is what I thought I bought and need.

But this is actually what I got through the post - the measurements are correct for what I received (see listing below). You can see the product received does not match the picture advertised. Guy is happy to take these back.

Here'sthe link to the listing.

Looking at the links you posted Jalf, they don't seem to look the same? RealOEM has some drawings of the second part number you've posted but it looks different from what I need.

I'd like the OEM one's but was quoted silly money - will touch base with Parts Dept again, tomorrow. Raj is also trying to help me out here.

Jay - what you have will allow someone to get to your arches by just pulling that centre piece out. I want the one's that are not easy to remove and OEM really. Appreciate the link all the same buddy.

Hey Steve,

Need 26 lol! But 4 will be enough to get the arches on and in place at least! I want the new paintwork to be protected asap. Stupid eBay!  >:(

After trying to fit them this morning, gonna get these ordered as soon as kind donations have been exhausted.

Thanks for even looking mate!  :)

When you've spent as much as me on paintwork and a trip to see big ears, you'll understand, garage boy!

30p times 26 is too much for an Indian btw! Hoping my TRUE forum members will come to my aid. Unlike you  ;)

Not to mention that a pint in the civilised part of the country (i.e. not in Sanje-town) is about £8, so he is worse off  :))

Shad, can you double-check that for me bud? They the same as my first pic? And have you got the dealer/part number so I can get the same deal?

I'm being quoted £6.72 for 6. Hence the 'go-fcuk-yourself' attitude and the post.
