Not a happy person at all. 3 of the 6 have snapped. Tried everything to get them out, they are solid. Now have got to take the head off. I am fuming. Any tips on timing the engine up? :'(

You don't necessarily have to take the head off. I had a specialist come to my home and remove a snapped plug. Where abouts are you located?

I used Modus engineering in Kent. Bit far from you.
Try
http://www.threaddoctorservicesltd.co.uk/. Still quite away from you but they are highly recommended.

Decision made. Head coming off to be repaired correctly and prevent further damage. Timing kit ordered. Whilst its off the road i have a new exhaust manifold, new thermostate, crank case breather, injectors being serviced and of course, those bloody glowplugs.lol Can't wait to get her back on the road, should feel good.

If you are going that far pull the valves out and de coke the head and lap the valves in with new stem seals would be silly not to I would say .

I will have the head cleaned at the engineering firm doing the repair but don't think I will take valves out.
