Hello XDrivers,
Another day, another newbie . . . .
I hope to collect an 'Approved Used' E53 X5 3.0 diesel (56 plate) from Berrys, Chiswick this coming Friday if all goes according to plan. Kalahari Beige, Sand Beige Nappa Leather, and an awful lot of toys! One 'well heeled' former keeper, and 22,000 miles!
This will be my second E53, had a 4.4 Sport from 2002 unitl 2005. Been in Transit's since . . . . .
Looking forward to learning lots, and maybe contributing too.
Pictures to follow on Friday if all goes well.

Folks,
Thanks for your warm welcomes, and kind words. I have to admit owning anything that is described as beige, even Kalahari beige conjures up a picture of 'bland' or 'boring'. As an individual who has had a road legal Toyota Hi Lux with 39" tyres, and a Tangiers Orange Range Rover, I don't believe I fall into the beige category yet!!!! I do have a matching set of Kalahari slippers!!

Wasn't going to say anything, but as you mention it, have you picked up a matching pipe yet, and old man's hat to put in display in the back?!

Excellent, and welcome from me as well. Look forward to the pics.
Mileage is great!
Once you are done with the old pipe and slippers stuff, pass it on to AW8 - he is just about ready for that
