2005 4.8is Carbon Black

Due to an unforeseen family problem my beloved 2005 4.8is will be up for sale.

I will be doing a full advert soon but basically the car has 64,000 with full BMW history complete with all invoices. It is in Carbon Black and total original. Just had 4 new Michelin tyres and had good spec as on my signature.
The car had recently had a full inspection2 by BMW and has 4 green lights still showing.
Please PM me if you are interested.

Not really though of a price, I gave £12,500 earlier this year. It was the best car I could find and I looked at probably close to a 100 x5,s over 3 months and  travelled over 2000 miles looking for the right car

Since I bough the car I have put 4 new Michelins tyres on it and a Westfalia removable towbar.

Open to sensible offers.

Really sad to have to sell but our Labrador has had to have an operation on both his rear legs and he is not able to get in the X5, he is too heavy for the wife to lift we have even tried a dog ramp but it is too steep for him, so the car is no use to her.

5 series Estate is look likely at the moment

ah yes, That was my job to lift our Lab into the X5 but at 28kg, it might indeed be a little challenge.

Our Rolo is 40kgs, so very heavy.I can lift him in but the wife a 4'11" has no chance :)

My retriever being lady muck has got used to being lifted in and out if the car since she had a problem with her front leg a few years ago

I will be glad when my lower car arrives soon.

Plenty of local off lead walking closely available for our 10 month old 28kg Lab here, when we do venture elsewhere I lift him in/out. Had been considering ramps for muddy days out though.

I only wish I could justify buying your car, (could easily justified it if I hadn't spent tens of thousands renting after sale of last house & before buying home again & with work required - not bitter honest >:D)

My 2002 4.4i still going strong but prefacelift, older & with significantly more mileage.

4.8is arguably the best E53 ever made & reading your efforts to search & source I suspect it is one of the more decent examples out there.

When you do advertise then IMHO an indication re the money essential to stimulate enquiries (it's not always easy to sell such magnificant beasts).

GLWTS :)

Hi I am in Durham City in the North East.

If you are after a 4.8is all I can say is if you did travel a long way to look at this car you would not be disappointed. I know I travelled many hundreds of miles to look at "Mint" cars to find what I would describe as well below average cars.

I bough the car from its original owner so I am the 2nd keeper. It has been fully serviced by the same dealer that supplied the car and was covered by a BMW warranty for all of its life until I got the car. So basically it has wanted for nothing and any work wanted has been done by the same BMW garage.

I have every service invoice, it had a new battery fitted by BMW last year the receipt for that is there as well, it is  pampered car.

It is truly a very nice X5.

Sounds perfect but I am a soft southerner and a 5 hour journey is going to be very difficult to fit in in the next few weeks!

I will send you a PM - maybe a few  pics will tempt me

It sounds perfect to me. Think of the glorious drive back, take a plane up which will be cheaper than a train into London !

It's a 5 hour trip norf to pick up the 'right' car, knowing this even before you've been up to see it. That's a rare priviledged place to be!

You know this one will be mint - do the deal over the phone/PM and go get it! Book a plane on the cheap (not last  minute), job done!

Thanks Guys.

I gave the X a quick wash to take some pictures and took it for a drive as I have not driven it for over a week. It is going to be hard to let the car go it still amazes me every time I drive it, but it is for the wife to use and she need to be able to transport the dog.

Driveway jewellery, next to my unloved Passat :)

Lovely, really lovely... if I was on the hunt for another X5 I'd seriously look at this one.
