X5 LeMans in Essex

Hi every1,
Just picked my lovely Blue x5 on Friday. Couple minor issues, but absolutely love it. Already asking questions about White Angel Eyes, Headrest screens, Bluetooth connectivity, upgrading the TV/SatNav system and UnderRide Protection.
Any help with those warmly welcomed. No doubt you are the guru's of the X's, and will seek your advice in the future. I have already written in Shadrack's "undercarridge protection bull bar".
Regards,
Gaff

Welcome aboard and congrats on the purchase. Looks a nice example.

LED angel eye bulbs can be sourced from a number of locations such as ebay, hidsdirect, etc, etc and are an easy upgrade.

Headrest screens are a nice addition. I have a set and the kids love them. Mine are linked to my Pioneer double din as a replacement to the OE widescreen nav unit. I do still have a pair of Necvox 6.5" screens if you are interested (with a 6 disc dvd interchanger).

As for the undercarriage protection. Shadrack has done a good job of making his own as the original one will cost you around £1K.....

Raj, thanks for that mate. Saw some white HID angel eyes (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WHITE-LED-Ang ... 3f18519d3f) but unsure as never checked the price, and for £23.50, are these real ?!
PM me about the headrest screen, and DVD interchanger. Does  it replace the standard CD changer? As mines seems to have packed up (says no cartridge). What formats? The headrest screens? Sorry, lots to ask and learn about my new baby, but really down on cash... simple reason... Mrs didn't quite know I bought it until it was home. To make matters worst, I stormed the "fix the house roof" fund!
I have PM'd Shadrack about the bars. Is he going into business? :P
Thanks again Raj.

Those in the eBay link are exactly the ones you want tbh. Plenty of different ones with very slight difference in brightness. Also some will not do the start up flicker but most do (I actually like it...lol).

As for the screens and DVD interchanger, I'll pm you details of them. The DVD interchanger is multi-region and accepts different formats, etc. The interchanger would be an extra unit.

Such a shame, know you could make £200-£300 pounds easily with one of those. Thanks, few things starting to worry me though. Like why is the next service due but there are full green bars? This LeMans is not an M Sport? Don't know if this normal, but after I have come to a standstill from driving, there is a sudden(semi-violent) gear change down to one... only after I have come to a complete stop.
All that said, loving it big tim. Shadrack, you're right the colour is definitely a head turner! ... the bars would make it look even better :)

That thud is the dreaded 'lurch' - search will reveal all, normal though.

Not a Sport? Le Mans were a Sport model, got colour-coded door handles, anthracite headlining, memory front seats, three spoke steering wheel? If yes to all, you have an M Sport!

But the colour is second best!  ;)

Hold on a sec. I thought the black was the best colour.. If that's not true than i've been lied to. I mean the blue and gray looks alright but they are not black so... ;)
