I am trying to help a friend who just brought over a 2009 335i over from states and he needs the rear lights for light conversion as his rear turning lights are red not amber. Would you guys be able to find out how much it would be for a set? I called the stealership here and they want £306+vat for a set but i know that this stealership is usually overpriced. If anyone could see if there is a cheaper one i would appreciate it. His last 7 of vin # is A515500
Thank you in advance

Best price I can get from dealer is £294 inc VAT. They are on back order though so they'd need to find out lead time on delivery.
I may be able to push for a touch more (next week when my parts lady gets back off leave) if you definitely want them, but can't guarantee.

Can not be fixed with a green bulb / cover to get orange?
The UK cars still have red deflectors as well so not sure what the difference is.

Are they LED lights? If so can we do the vat free scheme thorough our status in UK? All i would need an invoice minus vat to my name and address and i could get a cheque cut from the base bank and saves me %20

What would they have in the UK as the lights look the same?

The actual led bulbs are different colour. In states the leds blink red not amber like in EU

Not knowing the board, but can the leds be replaced?

It looks as if the LEDs are actually embedded in the light unit itself, but as pvr suggests, if you can get the unit apart and identify the LED type then it should be possible to just de-solder the red ones and replace with orange.
I'm working off
this drawing on Realoem.
If not, try seeing if you can source a used set - there must be some about by now that have had front end damage but the rear lights are salvageable?
Be a lot cheaper, and probably just plug and play too?

The best I could come up with, assuming saloon and not being able to use old bulb style units in the newer LED types because of connector/voltage changes are
this,
thisand
this(if you're really desperate)!

I'm guessing like for like but EU specific as I gave him the chassis you provided.
Can ask about VAT free tomorrow.
