Radio problems...........

My radio is becoming somewhat of a major irritant and having searched around, I can't seem to find anyone who has experienced a similar problem.
Effectively, the radio is fine but every so often the volume almost goes to nothing for a second or so, but then goes back to normal.
Playing CD's is fine but I can't fathom what's wrong with this radio. I've checked connections to the Radio module in the boot and all seem fine.
The car is a 2003 53 4.6iS with Nav, Bluetooth, Radio and CD Multichanger.
Any ideas would be gratefully received.
Andy

It may have fallen victim to the dreaded dry joint issue which affects these radios - there are threads on here about it, and someone who does repairs to the radio PCB. AW8 had this problem and got it sorted eventually, I think......hopefully someone will be along soon to point you to the thread(s) about the radio problems!

If you have the sat nav disc with speed camera pictures on, then it will quieten the radio every time you approach a camera. This happens if you don't have the function enabled. Hope this is of help.

I do have the sat nav disc with speed camera pictures on it. I'm going to have to check now when I drive it. If that does turn out to be the case, is there a solution?
The camera pictures just appeared on my latest disc.

Don't know of a cure. You can switch it over to the voice recognising the speed camera's which is a pain in the area where I live because there are so many of them. Also, if I remember, something comes up in french language when the voice warning is activated.

Well, its not the sat nav cameras I tested that. It just does it randomly on all radio stations. Sounds like the module could be the issue then!
