Random PDC issues

Hi all,
I've been having some PDC issues on and off for a while where the front speaker would give a constant tone sometimes. About 18 months ago I had a small low speed bump, no damage apart from one of the front PDC sensor wires breaking (where the wires were tightly routed inside the bumper and it was cut by one of the metal bumper brackets as the bumper flexed). Not a problem, I took off the bumper and soldered/sealed the wire. Since around that time I've had this intermittent issue with the front sensors. When the issue occurs I've checked all sensors and they click.
Thinking that there may be an issue with my soldered joint, a couple of months ago I removed the bumper again - checked, re-soldered and re-sealed the wire. All seems fine I can't imagine that's the issue.
A few weeks ago my rear sensors decided to play up. While reversing they would randomly beep even if there was absolutely nothing nearby (beeping or a constant tone from rear speaker). That happened a few times over the course of a couple of days but hasn't happened since. Again all sensors checked and seem to be clicking. Intermittent issues with the front sensors persists. The PDC switch light does not flash when I have the problem which I believe is an indication of sensor failure?
To investigate more closely I brought a BMW Scanner (1.4) which I just gave a spin. To my surprise there are no errors logged against the PDC module. I'd expected that if all the sensors appear to be clicking then the PDC module must have been playing up.
Any suggestions of what to do next? My gut feeling is that I need to replace the front sensor which was close to my shunt because I suppose it could have failed in an intermittent/unusual way where it still appears to work but sometimes feeds back a bad signal. As for the random spurt of issues with the rear sensors a few weeks ago I have no idea.
Thanks,
JF.
