If convenient, or not too late, you could probably save yourself quite a bit by going to a tyre specialist instead!

Dealer was hopeless! Kept me waiting for 20 minutes then at 5.10pm said they close at 5.30pm so couldn't help! Their loss. Will now get it repaired instead if I can. Made alternative arrangements for tonight so panic over....

Appalling service, but perhaps a lucky escape.
I only ever visit the dealer out of necessity, i.e. to retain FSH, obtain warranty work, or for certain dealer-only parts/service.
I would NEVER go to a dealer for tyres:
a) Of course they will be more expensive than virtually any tyre dealer by a long margin and
b) they often have less knowledge and equipment than tyre specialists.

Totally agree but it was 4.45pm and needed a fix pronto as was heading to the lakes for the weekend.....
Managed to re-arrange weekend away so can get it fixed and head away next weekend now. Turns out that the wheel is cracked and the pressure is being list via the crack I.e. the tyre is fine. Car is going to a wheel specialist on Monday to see if it can be repaired rather than pay £700 odd quid for a new one!

Wheel got fixed today at The Wheel Hospital at ESP in Glasgow. Wheel now welded and polished and looking good (not that it was obvious anyway as the crack was on the inner rim and had started moving across the main body of the wheel but only by 5-6mm). The guy doing the welding should be getting paid more - cracking job!
Not convinced that it'll be a long term fix but for a grand total of £72 it's 90% cheaper than buying a new wheel so worth a try at least.
Whilst I was there I had a look at examples of the wheel restoration work and have to say their work looks very good. Would recommend anyone looking to get wheels restored in the area (Glasgow) takes a look. They were recommended to me and have proven to be good.
