Factory Bluetooth system - no sound!

Phone system has worked fine for the 2 years I have had the vehicle - until today that is!. The OBC display of phone functions is OK, calls can be initiated and received - but no sound. Sound OK on radio, satnav and telly.

Have deleted and re-paired the phone but to no avail

Can anyone help/advise?

Have just got round to looking further into this issue.

If a call is made or received, the person at the other end can hear me loud and clear - so clearly the mic is OK - wheras I can hear nothing (not even a crackle)

Have checked the connections to the ULF - all pins / sockets clean and bright - and secure when plugged in

Any suggested next steps short of diagnostics via the stealers - inc. any recommended BMW ibus expert independents?
