Hi, new member, recently bought an e70 59 plate 3.0d msport, all good so far.
Had the e53 a few years back, great cars, but prefer the e70.
I have read various articles on several forums regarding angel eye upgrades.
Various options on eBay ranging from Circa £40 - £110, but not sure what to buy!
Can anyone advise the best option, cost and perhaps a link ??
Thanks in advance,
CR55

Re: Light upgrade
Depends what look you want
None will look like the LCI ones in daylight so if that is what you are after, don't bother

Re: Light upgrade
As above..... None so far come anywhere near LCI OEM.
The best if the bunch appear to be the GP Thunder bulbs - just halogen filament lamps with a deep blue coating applied. They're 'OK' in daylight, but no more than that. LED versions are OK at night but only average to poor in daylight.
There's a couple of threads with piccies on here for the X6.

Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.

Also the bluer coloured halogen bulbs seem dimmer than the original yellowish ones.
From my experience
-Originals are brightest
-Blue halogens match xenon better but seem dimmer than original
LEDS are v expensive, with negligible difference between blue coated halogens.

Re: Light upgrade
I use the Umnitza VXX, they are not bad.. The ultimate is LUX H8
Re: Light upgrade
I have the LUX V3 and they are very bright, infact I'd say on par with the LCI even in daylight. I did a lot of research and can't say a bad word about them. Was less than 5 mins per light very easy, not any harder than changing a normal lamp. Not exactly cheap but in my view worth it
