Is this lowered? Looks pretty cool to me! Or is it sitting low on its adjustable suspension. I would love a 4.8!
This guy has photographed this car very well, I mean the right angles. As a designer these things stick out.
AW8, might be worth a mention in your new Selling Guide! Photograph the car low!

Lovely, weird to think that for next to nothing extra I could just do a swap ... But as AW8 has said before, you don't know the history and other people's problems. At least with mine, had it from new.

Good looking car.
Bear in mind the 4.8is comes with adjustable height suspension & can be set to low position for boarding & alighting. Shrewd move if selected to photograph same.
Not saying it has been lowered, (for possible reason as explaluiend above), but on the subject of lowering I personally wouldnt choose to do this as I am well aware that E53's are already prone to the odd suspension or dash message issue.
Car looks very tidy on face of it & advertised with full and complete service history. Toyo image, (perfectly good tyre choice), hopefully mean a clued up enthusiast spent wisely rather than suggesting compromised cost choices.
Thanks for consideration & link - appreciated. Hope this not taken wrong way but dont know if I will post pics in event of a seller guide as I cant see significant benefit...that said its a fine example of a decent set of advert pics, ( right down to avoiding photographing a 6yr old nappa lumbar bolster).
It is true I have shared sentimemnts along lines of "better the devil you know" albeit our devils can still bite back just as any other car.
Theres a 4.6is on PH at main dealers with a mega low 16k miles & AUC warranty, however, window price not far shy of £20k. Looks stunning and low mileage but I also heard today of a 4.6is with a mere 25k miles that went for less than half that......I kid not !

Personally my money would be on
this private sale 4.8is absent of comms, granted but £5k less - bag it for £13k on basis of absent comms, retro fit same & you'd still be around £5k up on the indy sale in 1st link for what is essentially the same car, a low owner total & a chance to better enquire into integrity of car & seller.

Half leather too, unusual ? i thought all iS's would come with full leather, obviously not. I've only ever seen US 4.8is with half leather.
Got to say ,i sold my 4.8iS on a whim about 6 months ago & really, REALLY regret it.
Sometime in the (near) future i may get one again, just got to convince the wife, though i'm on thin ice 'cause i've changed my car 3 times this already this year.
My next 4.8 will be 'a keeper'

Got to be high or they'd mention it? It 'looks' very clean & straight. Not badly priced for a '55' plate, though the lack of interior shots don't help

Its so much car for the money! So tempting as you say. A proper brut with comfort thrown in.
I'm sooo tempted! I'll be in the market for another X5 in about a year. I wonder what the prices will be like then? Almost worth buying one as a 'toy'!

Now til Jan a good time to buy - current low new registration numbers also mean low p/x prices. In turn trade wanting to sell & private sellers competing with each other to better their poor p/x offers or just selling to release capital.............Throw in Christmas, Daves speech today & it's a bit of a buyers market.............a bit like last quarter of 2008 revisited.
Hopefully house prices will adjust too as Dave doesnt seem keen on hammering the company credit card !

Been having a good look around. I like the look of this:
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2047269.htm
The latest 4.4 I think I've seen! Colour combo right up my street. Fully loaded.
I must stop looking!!
Prices have really changed, even in the last 4 months. Sold my 3.0i in July for a good price, I now see BMW are not even bothering to sell 3.0 petrols under approved used anymore, they were a few months ago.
