Very sad to hear of Jon Lord's passing. I was a huge Deep Purple fan in my younger days and even now the X5 will light up to Made in Japan. One of my biggest regrets in life was turning down the chance to see the classic Mark 2 line up in Newcastle City Hall when I had the chance 40 years ago. Sigh.

Yeah, I'm the same. grew up on Purple. Only saw them live once (1973? was it). Brilliant stuff, and I have the remastered double Made in Japan CD (and my original, much played vinyl one).
Classic.
