just going to upload a picture of my summer (not that we have one) project, mainly to try and grasp the new upload system on here..........

Love the wheels......I bet they're a SOB to clean though! I hate doing the MSport Style 135M ones on our E46 as they take about 10mins each because of the narrow sections. Those BBS one do look the part though....
I take it one of your 'project phases' will be to get the shine back on the paint? Has the boot lid been redone with rattle cans, or did it have a close encounter with a pan scrubber?

I take it from the pic that it was a rattle finish.
Bet I was fun to flatten and polish. Any 50/50 pics?

yeh was rattle finish, had a big ugly spoiler on, flattened off lovely however ive no pictures i never even thaught to take any....

Never tried machine polishing - I expect after 3 hours I would have got the 'polished steel' look....

oh no i must be mad!! i couldnt resist because its full of parts i need so im adding bmw no4 to the drive, is that excesive, ive a soft spot for the old ones
