pulling to the left

Post by rjkc600 » Sun Jul 15, 2012 6:16 pm

Right chaps i need some info please.  My X5 has always pulled to left, its not horrendous, but i do constantly have the steering wheel in hand to avoid it drifting left.

It does it on all roads, some more then others due to the natural camber of the roads.

Ive replaced the following:

Front arm bushes to Powerflex poly bushes
New front balljoints
New front arms ( the one with balljoint attached)
New rear track control arms
New rear subframe bushes
New front tyres

Ive only used Lemforder parts so all top quality.

Ive also had a 4 wheel alignment done and EVERYTHING was adjusted so all tracked to spec (except rear camber running more positive but equal both sides to 0.01 degree).

The problem was there when i bought the car, and after all this work its still there.

Anyone had similar experiences and know where i should look next?

:)

I know it's obvious, but have you checked the brakes are not binding.

yes, using the most basic method of checking the pads are evenly worn.  :D

is there anything in the steering rack/column that wears?
