Fiat 500 or Abarth 500 - opinions?

Thinking of getting rid of my E92 M3. It's just not getting used and when it does it's only for 5 mile bursts to work when I'm not running or cycling. So it's basically a £400 a month ornament.
Therefore thinking about getting something small, cheap but lots of fun. I love the look of 500's and the Abarth versions are really taking my fancy. Anyone got one and willing to offer an opinion on it?

Indeed. Have an Abarth 500 Convertible.
Great fun car, good roadholding and the same performance of a Golf MKII 16V. Don't buy it for the fuel economy though.
Insurance is very cheap at under £200 a year, road tax is cheap as well. I have had ours for over a year now and touch wood, never has had anything go wrong.

I to have a Abarth 500 but mine has had the Esseesse treatment.
Great fun car and a hoot at times. Having sold my E46 M3 vert I wanted something different.
Had it for a year and a half now but looking to move onto something different again ::)

From past experience, probably about 400 free laps at your local go-kart track.

Had a test drive in a regular Abarth 500 this afternoon. What a hoot! They are doing delivery mileage pre-reg'd cars for about £2k off new price.
Sorely tempted, just deciding whether I can live with such a small car! Also thinking about other alternatives like Clio/Twingo Cup or Corsa VXR etc.
Any others I should consider?

In a former life as a vxr astra owner a few friends have corsa vxrs (stabdare and modified ones) A very quick car and good handling and easy to tune up but told they have a chocolate 3rd piston which if tuning need to be aware of.
It handles better out of the box than the astra and the nurburg edition is nice with brembo brakes on it as standard.
Not driven the Fiat but looks like fun
IMHO
