Bloody inactive susp warning

Post by bonerp » Wed Jul 04, 2012 3:08 pm

Had the compressor replaced last year by BMW and now the darn light comes on again as I'm trying to sell it.  grrr >:(

Booked in thursday for diagnostics and it will be fixed under auto protect warranty if its the air bags (£37.90 labour rate wtf?!?!?  not enough to pay a back street garage!).

Will both get replaced or just the faulty one?

If the pump is faulty BMW can sort it.

cheers
Paul

Damn pain that mate, what exactly needed repairing? Was it a sensor cable fault or something inboard?

Good luck on the sale.

it was a wiring powering the pump that lives down in the sub space on the right side in the boot.  They blamed my custom made box for tearing/stretching the wire (even though its been in and fine for 12 months).  Personally I blame them fitting the new pump last year and stretching it.  They wouldnt accept that suprisingly...

Funny that. It takes a lot to stretch a wire to breaking point, especially in a loom. Hmmm >:(
