Ride Height Sensor

Can anyone help?

I'm trying to find the ride height sensor as some have mentioned on the forum. The suspension inactive error has come up and is permanently on. Not on my car btw...  ;)

So, it sits right with no obvious suspension issues. First attempt is the battery disconnect, will look at fuses next and then there was talk of this ride height sensor hereand also being a cheap sensor to change out. Believe it sits on the left rear suspension area. All I seem to find is the Xenon sensor and that isn't cheap.

Any help much appreciated, still trawling realoem with not much joy.

IIRC the Xenon levelling sensors are only on the front axle. There are 2 types of sensor for the rear- 1 for cars with single (rear) axle levelling and the other or cars with twin self levelling axles (a la 4.8is etc).

The best way is to read the part number off the old sensor (after cleaning all the crud off it), pop into RealOEM which will then show the latest level part.

When i bought mine they were around £40 each from the stealers.

That's just it - looked on realOEM and I can't find it. But yes looked at all the axle types too.

Where is it located - is it under the plastic cover on the rear left then?

Does this help narrow it down location wise?  From the TIS.

It could be this page on Realoem for the part numbers.

You can see it looking at the underneath of the car from the back. It's located on the lower suspension arm- a little black cube, (size around 50mm each side). It will have a plug and a little arm, with a tiny ball and socket each end. I'll try and dig out a picture for you. .
