Parking question in and about London.

Just thought I'd post up as I'm sure a few of you will be able to help out  :)
Having a wee road trip next month. Heading to the Hammersmith Apollo in July to see Faith No More , well, driving from Aberdeen to Llandudno for a stop over (few nights on the lash) then driving down on the Sunday.
Question is, do any of you know or can recommended somewhere I can park? I was wondering if with the build up to the Olympics is having an effect and making things twice as busy as they normally should be?

We wont be staying over, just collecting a one of our friends from Heathrow in the morning, staying for the gig and then heading out of London later that night.

Anything we should also avoid would be a great help  :)

Cheers.

Steve.

Hi,
I have been to the Ham'th Apollo a few times. There is a supermarket car park within a couple of minutes walk.
Quiet in the evenings and quite cheap too.
Enjoy the gig.

Thats perfect. Thanks for that. Safe enough to leave the car there for a few hours I take it?

OR...

There's a load of sites that you can search under 'rentmydrive' and home owners will let you park in their drive for a fee. Think if you can find a place close to where you want then you have a much better place to park (peace-of-mind wise). Some search results (pay particular attention to the last link):

Thanks for that, will have a good look through them. Not sure if that many will be free on a Sunday night but well worth a try.

I used that as well to go to a concert at Wembley. Never driven to Wembley before so was glad that I could park on a nice drive somewhere especially after driving through some weird places right before  :'(
