I have put BMW connected and Remote apps on my ipad.

Does anyone know if they actually work with the X6. I connect the car to the ipad and it just says "connection failed"

On the remote it shows me where my car is, but I dont know if that is because I am in the car at the time of looking!

Any insight most welcome.

BMW Apps needs to have the option installed in the car at build so I'm assuming you had that in your build.  It only works when in the car and set-up correctly.  I don't have it in mine so have no idea how to use it.  We do have the Mini equivalent but there are some differences and it only works on the iPhone as the iPad has no mobile connection - it can't use WiFi.  You need option 6NR in the car.

Have you also set up your Assist & Connected account in the BMW GB system so that you have a username and password?  I'm assuming you have if you are seeing some things.

BMW Remote certainly works, but will only show you the car's location if you are within 1,500m as BMW say anything over that is considered a 'privacy' matter even if it's your own car.
