Took my (Canadian) E70 35d in for diesel exhaust fluid refill and oil service on Friday.  Dealer also did the work on the above recall:  replace EGR and exhaust mixer.  Some or all of this may be related to exhaust fluid not present on UK cars, but it might be worth asking your dealers if you have an E70 or E90 35d.  Mine is a Feb 2010 delivered car.

Thanks for the 'heads up'.  I've just had a look at the VOSA Recalls site, and so far nothing listed.  That may as you suggest be that the model differences make it irrelevant, but equally possible is the 'light touch' regulation on recalls in the UK meaning people pretty much have to be hurt before VOSA shows any real interest! >:(
