Possible X5's?

Hi chaps,
Just wondered what you thought of these Xers? I'm not saying they're perfect, but if i look at them first hand i like them. They're both autos and i'm looking at them in terms of looks right now, ideally i'd have a manual but I can see I might win the euro millions before finding a manual one I like.
This one is not too far from me, but i'd rather it had things like sat nav/tv etc.

This one is close too and where my mums car came from. I think I prefer the interior of this, but then again a black leather would hide any dirt! I hate the rear lights so they would be changed.

First one doesn't appear to have any Bluetooth either.........but it's got a '6 speed CD Changer' so you can lob them half a mile up the road..
)
Second one, I see what you mean about the lights!! Expensive to change back to OEM though, unless anyone has a spare set? At least one wheel needs refurbishing and there's little info about any options fitted? Most of what is described is standard so not exactly in line with a 'Huge Spec' they spout so loudly. Worth a look though, even if to find out what options are fitted. You can find out from BMW by getting the last 7 characters of the VIN and following the instructions in
this thread at Denis O's reply...
Mileage too high for me....thinking of suspension and gearbox issues.
Remember any E53 version built up to October of 2004 will be
analogue TV only and useless once the Digital Switch-over completes. From mid Oct 04 build the analogue/digital receivers were fitted. Build dates are on a label under the bonnet, but I can't remember which side - left I think as you look at the car.

Haha ..the 6 speed changer is a real pull...must be a rare option eh?
I don't think I am too bothered about mileage ...from what I read I could still buy one wi 40k and still have problems, where one with higher miles may have hard any issues resolved, that's the way I see it anyway.
Plus as I am getting married next May, I dont have the largest budget for it. Any examples anyone thinks are good in this price range suggest away.

I would probably say 10k max - i see some lower mileage one's around 75k - 80k but you're worried they've been clocked?

Is it diesel in particular that your after?

I don't know if the above would interest you. I recently bought an LPG X5 3.0 and in terms of economy and performance I am more than satisfied. I currently buy gas at 68p a litre. A full tank varies from 34-42£ (gas tank can never be full due to atoms) and I get 210 miles of city commute which Im very happy with.
Also the purchase price is cheaper than the diesels as diesels hold their values well and mileages tend to be lower on petrol models.
The above is an example of what you could potentially get for your money.

I think the interior and the lights on the blue one are horrendous, black with black leather is a far nicer combo, the wooden trim and cream leather be hard to live with IMO, more of an old boys interior tbh

Rear lights definitely have to go on the second one tbh. Don't mind the interior though but would have been nicer with just the seats and doorcards cream. And I do prefer the colour combo.
It's always a hard choice as you're always worried that the decision you make may be the wrong one.
Mileage isn't too much of an issue (mines got 101k).

The interior isn't that hard to live with...
With my windows blacked out its nice to actually be able to see something inside! Agree with raj though if it was just the seats would be much nicer

If it comes down to the one with the shady looking lights don't let this put you off, you can buy some oem looking crystal ones off ebay for £100 or if that doesn't do it for you, you can buy my oem lights for £90 and I will put crystal ones in mine, but the ones in it need burning imo so knowone else can ruin an x5 lol

I guess it's all personal taste eh? I quite like the lighter interior. I do like black too but sometimes I think the interior gets 'lost' in the blackness - just my opinion of course.
I'd change the wood probably and make it gloss black piano trim.
One thing I would rather is have black carpets, but I guess you could stain them if need be.

I prefer the blue one and as I said above I'd change the wood to make it look sharper. The lights should be burned! Strangely it makes me worried as to who owned it before but maybe I'm being silly!
