Does a new BMW have breakdown cover if you're driving abroad or do I need to organise additional cover?

I'm driving to South of France tomorrow & phoned BMW Customer Service with the same question. You're fully covered with BMW Assistance when driving mainland europe.

3 years covered in Europe.
However, don't expect too much. My dad had a flat tyre in France and called BMW Assist. First of all, the number is wrong in the BMW manual.
Secondly, after he got through, they could not help him as his car was not registered in France (defeats the European wide cover as such ...).
Think non France is probably better as there is obviously France, and then there is the rest of Europe ::)

Years ago I was doing a Civil Service course in Brussels and a non-UK MEP said "there are three official languages in the EU, English & German." We looked puzzled and asked about French? He gave us the same reply with a smug grin......I think said said a lot.
