Looks like a major overhaul is on the way for all those with iPhone 3GS, 4, 4S, 4th Gen IPod Touch or iPad 2 and 3.  Looks like the 1st Gen iPad misses out though, which is surprising considering it's only what 2 years old or thereabouts?

I'm a big mac fan as are my family (3 iPads, 27" iMac, 4 iPhones, iPod touch, loads of iPods and networked using air whatsits and all at home) but..........

Nothing really of any interest and they're not addressing the OS to match their competitors. Most of what I've read are simply minor tweaks for the sake of doing something. A completely new and innovative OS needs to be designed to take what are great products to the next level.

If Windoze 8 is as bad as current IT press reports are saying, Apple can probably sit back for a while.  I'm certainly in no hurry to 'Go Metro'.....looks dreadful.  I've been trying the pre-release and it's just so confusing!

Apple have announced a Retina MacBook Pro or something along those line......for silly money as ever.  Not that that'll stop the ultra fans from buying one though...

Certainly if the current 'rumour mill' is to be believed in any way, then late September is a 'good candidate' period for the next iPhone, and Apple don't tend to release just an OS Upgrade without a new toy to put it on. 

The iPhone 4S was really only a partial upgrade from the 4, and there's plenty of spy info about 'larger screen iPhones' being on the way.  Not much larger, but nearer the 5" mark supposedly.  Steve Jobs was allegedly 'anti-larger screens' but he's gone to the fruit orchard in the sky, so all bets are off.

I've got a 4S and the 5 is going to have to be significantly better than the 4S in order for me to change.

As I mentioned, the OS really needs a major update as Apple are now simply polishing a turd every 12 months.

Google Maps are out, Apple's own version coming in with Tom Tom's navigation and map database underpinning it.

FaceTime over mobile should kill everyone's monthly data allowance nicely!
