Hi all. i've just joined the forum. I have a 2006 ( 55 ) plate E53 3.0d X5. Just stripped off engine covers to change the filter in the crankcase breather only to find its got the vortex type separator and not the foam filter element !
I will get a new air filter tommorow, cant believe how much work is involved to change the air filter element !!!!!
Love the car though. I Fitted a Dynavin E 39A sat nav multimedia headunit a couple of weeks ago. fantastic piece of kit. alot of chopping to get it to fit, got worried at one point if it would fit. PDC  great, but cant reset OBC.
Def worth the trouble though.
