PDC sensors fine but still constant tone

Hi guys, intermittent problem with the PDF sensors.
All 8 checked and clicking when ear close to, but I often get a constant rear warning tone when there's nothing nearby ? I've had all 4 rears off and thoroughly cleaned all the crap off them but still no joy. Even tried re seating the fuse in case that resets the system.
Like I say it's intermittent. Sometimes no issues, sometimes invisible forces are stood behind me !
Any suggestions appreciated.
Marcus.

I have the same with the front. Constant front warning tone with nothing in front and all 4 clicking nicely. Doesn't always do it though.

Get faults read to find out which one is intermittent

what are you using to read the fault codes?
in my case my scanner 1.4.0. showed me shadow faults of my front sensors.

I'm using scanner 1.4.0 and no fault codes present. Very frustrating. I suspect one of the sensors is failing in such a way that it thinks there is something immediately in front of it. It would be highly useful if there was some way of interrogating the system to see which sensors are being "activated".
Cheers.

Make sure both PDC annunciators are set to "speaker" - if either is set as "chime/gong" the system will give the fault alarm (continuous tone + flashing PDC switch LED)
