Thought I had lost you all!

I thought I had lost you all and my best source of overall X5 knowledge in AW8 when X5 drivers dissapeared.
Thankfully I have just stumbled across the now "Xdrivers" forum today, so re-registerd.

I have done a little bit of work on the car since I last posted about buying my 4.4 X53 Sport in October last year. All done myself apart from the LPG conversion, which I am now pretty confident I could do myself.

- Replaced outer CV Boot on Off Side Front
- Replaced front thrust arm bushes on both sides with Powerflex bushes
- Replaced both front bottom track arms and ball joints
- Had a full Prins VSi LPG system installed last week now my commute is 60 miles a day.

Will do a proper update soon, but I am getting more and more used to working on the beast now and hope I can help out with any knowledge I gain.

Next on the list of work is a new set of 20" wheels and tyres. MOT is due in mid october so I want them sorted by then.

Jay

Yay!!! I've found Sanj and AW8 again!! Where's chompers? :D

Bit gutted about the loss of info from x5drivers. :(

Anyway, prepare for some really irritating nagging questions about why my sat nav screen keeps scrolling and how to cure it!

Cheers Guys.

Absolutely loving the LPG so far. 38/40MPG (Equivalent) just seems to good to be true in a car like this :)
Its absolutely no different to drive either, if anything it feels even very very slightly smoother which is the biggest bonus.

Really starting to enjoy the X now I have got over the nervousness of living and working on a much bigger car than I am used to, but its all exactly the same just on a bigger scale.

Oh and the other things I did were an oil and filter change and replace the PCV hoses as they were all soft as they often are.

MOT is due next week, so if anyone knows of some nice OEM 20's for sale I am in urgent need of a set.

Cheers

Jay
