Hi all, just had a call from Volkswagen saying my car is due a recall on the injectors. I knew that they have been recalling them as a work colleage has had his done, I told them it's already had them done at 96000 miles about 18 months ago( it's now on 130000 miles) they said that it may have had the old type installed when it was in so they would like to change them anyway, with a complimentary car health check . I have got to say I have always had good service with Volkswagen much better than when I take the other car into BMW. I don't think i would ever get a call from BMW on a car that's done that many miles and is now 4 1/2 years old. If anybody has a b6 or a Vag 2.0 tdi I recommend you give your dealer a call as it seems they are changing them regardless which can't be a bad thing.

i wonder if it is for all the 2.0 tdi engines. my touran has the 2.0 tdi as well.
i was cery pleased with WV service as well. their rates are a lot better than BMW as well

Neighbour just had all injectors changed on his Passat for £2k under this recall - thank you very much sir!

Think it's for 05 to 08 cars (wasn't paying attention).

Yes I thought it was a result to I do a lot of mileage in my job as I work for a housing developer and spend most of my time up and down the motorways going from site to site all over the northwest. I used to run a e91 manual 330d msport which I had remapped and it was one quick car and before that a e46 330cd msport so I had my doubts when changing to the passat, but I couldn't justify the servicing costs, tyres( it ate them at an astonishing rate!)depreciation on and it mainly sat on the drive at weekends as we tended to use the missus x5 at the time. So I decided to get myself a cheaper car and spend the extra on the missus car when when we decided to change it. The passat is a great car for motorway work its just now when somebody comes flying up behind me rather than floor it and leave them behind I pull over happily getting 50 mpg,which it seems to do all the time wether your doing 70 or a lot faster. I did change the x5 for an x6 which is pretty quick if I fancy a hoon about though

It is the PD engiens not the later CR ones.

I have just had a recall for my 2009 Passat TDI CR for a fuel pipe. It has done just under 100k now and it will get the pipe done with a feww wash and vac.

i believe the one fitted with on our touran is a PD engine as well. ours is 55 reg but 06 model tdi with 140 bhp. i'll have to check with the dealership to see if it is effected. would VOSA have the recall info online by anychance?

The engine in mine is the PD one i think and it's also a 140 bhp 07 model year. I think the ones that are affected are the bkp engine codes. If you call Volkswagen and give them your reg they will confirm it. Just another point you also don't have to have had the car serviced with VW as my colleague at work has always taken his to independents for servicing and they done his. Hope this helps.

hmmm. it says i have the BKD engine in mine.

from the looks of it it is mostly the 170 bhp engines and a few of the 140bhp ones.
VW engine codes covered are BMA, BKP, BVE, BWV, BMR, BUZ and BMN.
