Anyone ordered one yet?
I'm just sorting spec and prices with my dealer would be interesting to know what discount I could expect (and I will be expecting one!).

Depends how well they think it's going to sell. Somewhere upwards of 6% minimum I would hope. Sometimes they will not play on a new model, but will throw in other goodies like GAP & Tyre Insurance plus a Service Pack. I only got about 4% off the 40d but got the rest thrown in. Plus a permanent 15% parts/accessories discount and the Winter Wheels at a very good price.

It depends upon how badly they want a deal, and how hard to get you want to be. :x

BMW have had a good time recently in terms of sales so there ought to be some wiggle room..

There's always the broad speed quote to help guide things. With 17k on the clock the 40d should fetch a few bob p'ex as well. Trouble is my shopping list of bits is 16.5k (oops).

Mine was the same... the toy list is hard to resist.. :D

I was offered £46k on a 2011 40d with 5,000 miles in December last year, but only after I laughed at their first offer, which was £40k. It's only got 6,700 on it now after my medical issues which have kept me off the road since then...

Do you really think they will offer discount on a 'premium'/specialist model which will presumably be limited numbers too

Also as per X5sport I would have thought p/ex will be a hit

Not trying hard enough on options - we are up to £18k on porker

I think I'd rather spend that amount of money on an M5!

Not sure how much the leather dash is but someone ticked the option box on mine and i have to admit it really gives the car a top quality feel

Which for a long long time was my dream car. However, I prefer the higher driving position of the X6 and so changed my mind. The X6M would be fun, for a while, but at least with the 'd' I can hoon it and still get over 20mpg, day in day out. 0.4 secs on the 0-60 sprint is not too much and I'd catch up when they stopped to refuel ;-)
Residuals are better on the diesel as well.
But just to prove I haven't lost the plot completely, the long term Plan (next year is as long term as it gets with me LOL) is to get an M3 ragtop as a second/third car and stick it in the garage for the odd bout.

But isn't it you with an X6 and an X5 or am I getting confused with somebody else?

It surely isn't going to be 'loads' different to drive than your mrs' x5

I also think it will loose shed loads of money particularly with £16k of toys on it (and I know I'm one to talk!) but I just would have thought the variation would be more fun and the M5 at that price is comfortably specced
