Have a 2008 SD with professional sat nav, just wondered if it was worth upgrading the discs to the 2012 version. Anyone done and is it worth it, what are the differences? Best place to get discs without breaking the bank with the Beemer garage?

Not daft at all...You will probably find a raft of changes between those two years. I had a 2008 in mine when I sold it and a number of new roads are now on the 2012 disc, but it is still close to two years behind the real road data - or at least the data on our Mini is which uses the same maps.
