Cant quite decide how much use it is to me as we use a fuel card to pay the tolls......might have some use for speeding through them though and the fact that you get billed back in sterling.

Will think about it more next week when driving down to rome and work out if it will actually save much time at the tolls

Me and several mates used to travel to the alps regularly and had Sanef badges - very convenient, especially if driving through the night when everybody except the driver is asleep and you arrive at a toll booth with the booth on the passenger side. Just go through a lane with the orange T above it, slow down(!) and drive stright through when the barrier opens. I don't use it now as I live in Canada but mates still do. Hhghly recommended if you drive in France a lot. UK billing helps, though it wasn't really that much of a problem before - Euro charge was converted to sterling on the credit card bill ...

Well used it going down to Rome and i have to admit im sold on it already. No more leaning out of the window to reach a ticket or the credit card machine. (or the miserable frenchperson taking money)

Also good as no need to wake a sleeping passenger. Travel through france a lot so think its going to be good........just a shame it cant be used in other countries

I've been using this for the last four years and have to agree that it's so much less hassle. I realised just how convenient it is when the battery ran out on my transponder a couple of years ago when I was driving solo in the Z4 from Barcelona to Calais. I was cursed upside down by the locals as I had to get out the car very time I went through a peage.

I don't know if the new regulations that Sanef are imposing will effect my credit card account with them, I'll find out soon enough because my card has expired and I'll need to give them new details. If I can't keep it going then I'll just bite the bullet and open an account with Sanef UK.
