can anyone tell me what tyre pressures the 20 inch wheel combo should be running had some new wheels fitted by BMW and checked the pressures and they were at 40 psi straight from the dealership, looked on my car and it says 32 psi or 2.2 bar so dropped them to this all round ,all were high, ride feels a lot better at this.
When I asked a traffic officer driving an x5 with the same tyres his were marked up on each panel at 36psi any help.

2.2 bar sounds right. Anything on the label on the Driver's door 'B' pillar? Police vehicles tend to run at higher pressures because of the equipment load they carry, especially the Motorway vehicles.

Not good if the dealer put them at 40psi then. Unless that's how they came (if fitted with tyres too) from Parts and no one checked.. :x

I would imagine the car was a bit 'skippy' at 40psi. No wonder you're finding the ride better at the correct pressure..
