Hi folks,

I have purchased a set of genuine E70 roof racks .My X5 is an E53 and in the add i was told that it would fit an E53 model ,if i removed the rubber inserts for the clamping arragment .One fits on ok like this ,but the other one is physically two long .I have emailied the guy and he said he had them on his E53,but cant for the life of me see how this is possible . Has any one come across this before ? Thinking of putting them back on ebay , and getting a set of thule ones that fit.

the wheel step at the bottom of that post is the most amazing looking invention i have seen in a long while... the person responsible for this item is a LEG END !
