Hi Guys, i'm back after a fantastic break - 3 weeks in tropical paradise Sri Lanka, which is where i come from..

Thought of sharing some pics of some of the great places i went to:

back to work from tomorrow!! but then it felt good to drive the X5 today, after driving silly cars for weeks!

Lucky you. Looks like a nice little adventure. I don't expect anyone went and tried to say 'hello' to the small puss cat in your images......

Just booked our overseas trip, but we've got another 6 months to wait...

If Sri Lanka is anything like Thailand, the import duty on an 'X' is about 200%! He had to come back to enjoy his car.......mind you, the fuel is a lot cheaper.....

Only seen one X5 in Southern Thailand, along with a few 10-year old 5-series and a couple of old E36 3-series. Nothing newer.

That's right, good cars are astronomically expensive there. the part u won't believe is that cars actually appriciate in price there! If u go for a car with good resale value and keep it in decent shape u r better off than keeping the money in a bank!

Hmmmm....thinks.....I wonder how much it would cost to ship it out there.....

No way I'm driving it!! To many 'Bad Countries' to drive through on the way...
