New E70 - scratched a wheel!

Hi All,
I've had my new X5 40d msport since 1st March and have just lightly scraped the n/s front wheel on a kerb. I did 50k in my last car and never so much as scuffed a wheel - and I've done one within 500 miles in this car! Very frustrating...
The scratches are really small and I'm wondering if I could use a mobile repair company. However, it doesn't look like they can repair diamond cut alloys using a mobile service. I have the 20 inch 333M wheels.
I spoke to the main stealer and they said they only completely strip the wheel back and repair and it takes 3 days. The cost doesn't worry me too much it's just the pain of having the car off the road for 3 days. Stripping the wheel back for a couple of little scratches also seems like overkill!
Does anyone know if the 333M wheels are diamond cut and whether a mobile repair would work?
Regards,
Neil.

Alloywheels Direct simply says 'BMW Bright Turned' for the finish. I think BMW wheels are either cast or drop forged. That's a pain though. I got away with it on the E53 and also the E71 winter set as both are 19"s. I dread it with the 20"s though....
These E70/71 cars are W..I..D..E, and I'm sure I've got much closer to a kerb than I want to be more than once, but just been lucky (so far!).

Agreed, when parking my E70 next to a kerb at the dealer I came as close as I dared.
When getting out, I was still about 75 cm away from the kerb
Still need to get a wheel fixed from the Abarth thanks to Mrs PVR, also diamond cut and have not found a company yet that can do it.

Just out of interest (for educational reasons) what is a 'diamond cut' and how can you tell from looking at one whether they are, or might be?

Sorry to hear of your scuffed wheel Javaboss
problem is that if you do do reface your wheel it is unlikely as 535 points out that you will be able to do again. If the scuff isn't to bad then I would leave it as sods law states its likely it will happen again
