Have a look on ebay for replacement twin LED bulbs. (standard angel eye bulbs are H8 type). Bear in mind some of the LED versions can be upto £100, but none will give you the look of the LCI cars. Also due to the inherent design of the headlamps, the inner ring will always be brighter than the outer ring!

The LCI cars with the bright white corona rings have different headlights compared to pre-LCI cars. Upgrade could probably could be done but would cost a small fortune, and would require coding of the car.

You're not wrong there. Probably the wrong side of £2k OEM. I don't think the LCI lamp units will fit the pre-LCI car either. I'm looking for the same for my X6 but there's nothing out there that even comes close to matching the intensity of the LCI units. OEM units use multiple LEDs in a ring.

The LCI X6 can be ordered with all-LED front lighting - at around £2k at time of order so will be much worse as spare parts. I'm lead to believe that high intensity/high power white LEDs are made on an artificial Sapphire substrate base and it is this that costs the money.
