hi
im new to the forum. i bought a 2002 x5 d sport at christmas and have had a few problem that i have managed to fix using this forum so thanks.
my car seems to have a built in system for the phone ie a cable what looks like being used for a seimens in the centre arm rest. is there any way that i can get this cable changed or bluetooth in the car so i can use my galaxy s2 or any other phone.
now im resorting to a bluetooth hands free but would just like to have one integrated into the car.
i look forward to any help that yous can give

built in phone
Re: built in phone
There probably is, but it won't be cheap. I had the Bluetooth equivalent of what you have and it would only pair with the supplied handset. I had to plug my sim card into a lot in the armrest.
You will at least need a Bluetooth TCU to replace whatever module the car system uses. BMW do make a retrofit kit, some of which you may well have in terms of wiring. It does require some recoding by a Dealer. I have a copy of the instructions, or you can get them from bimmerretrofit dot com (although you will need to register to download the PDF manual).

Never anthropomorphise computers. They hate that.
