Hi Guys,

I've had my 2010 X5 30d for just over a week now and it's great. I've been reading through the forum for info and was wondering how I tell which model I have? How do I tell if I have the 235 bhp or the 245 bhp model?

Thanks

Easiest way to tell is what colour are your angel eyes?

If white LED then LCI, if not then pre-LCI. What is the Build Date on the plate under the bonnet? I think it's on the left side and shows Month/Year.

That will also help to confirm which version. The E70 troops will be able to tell you when the LCI appeared in the UK. Production in the US started in April 2010. In the US market, that was when the 8sp transmission also arrived.

I've just done a google search and it looks like I have the LCI as it's exactly the same as this: http://www.bmwblog.com/2010/02/09/2011- ... -unveiled/

Will this mean that I have the 245 bhp version?

Your Owners Manual will also tell you.

A very polite way to say RTFM :D

I think with the LCI came the iDrive with the quick buttons all around them, do you have those?

I do have to buttons around the iDrive. I'd read the manual but I'm in Nigeria, didn't get much time with the car before I had to return to work, hence the stupid questions.
