Very nice.
The 40d power plant is definitely the one to have - at least until the real oil burning 'M' appears later in the year. I expect the X5 M50d is going to be very quick for a 3.0litre. The purists will say it isn't a real 'M' because it isn't petrol or a V8/10 but it'll still sell.

Yeah, I did the same and noticed that you no longer get a bag of badges like you used to - in case you changed your mind, or a follow on owner wanted them.

Lovely example but as others have said, I don't like the ///M badges.

I do like that but my feelings are the same, don't like the badges.

I fancy changing the badge on rear from chrome to black! Think it will go nice with the white and black trim theme.

Car is nice as it is & no need for the ///M badges & they really spoil the car imo. Sticking ///M badges on non M cars is a massive No. It's like sticking M badges on 3 Series when it isn't an M3. Keep it as a 325, 330 or proper M3 with M badge....... same goes for the X5.

That's a great looking car
Would have like to go for a dark X, but they are a nightmare to keep clean.
Sitting here wondering if I've made a mistake getting the 30d for Mrs M (due to be delivered next week), albeit money is money, we got more spec for our buck and the deal was one I simply couldn't resist.
From what I've read the 30d has ample power and is no slouch. I suppose like my old 535D compared to say a 530D I'll simply have to see a slightly larger gap on the othert side of the road should I want to overtake!
