Upgraded head unit.

Hi,

Came across this whilst surfing the net -

http://www.tv-in-motion.co.uk/bmw_headunit.html

Anyone had any experience with the upgraded head unit ? Seems a good piece of kit if it does all it claims to & keeps the car looking standard.
It caught my eye because I find the standard sat nav slow to use turning the controls back & forth to input postcodes etc & I have been looking into integrating my i-pod but I'm reluctant to loose the cd changer ( I.e. with Intravee )

A touch screen would bring it into the 21st century

Would be interested in your thoughts ?

Thanks, Phil.

My brain alos appears to be running a bit slow tonight as well, hence the post in the wrong section !!

Thanks, again, Phil.

Hi Phil

This looks really good - I upgraded to a Mk 4 sat nav on my car last year and have been planning to add a Parrott hands free kit. If the tv in motion unit does what I think it does (i.e. I've read it correctly!) then I wouldn't need the Parrott and could sell the Mk4 DVD which would offset most of the cost.

Like you, I would be interested to hear if anyone's got any experience of it

There is a company who I've seen advertising that claims to have an
i-pod connection which still allows use of the factory cd-charger as
well as all other functions . £100-150 .

Might be another option if the £500 replacement too expensive .
